About the Deck:

The Tarot pack by Hermann Haindl draws upon many esoteric and religious traditions, particularly Native American, the Holy Grail, the I Ching, Kabbalah and the Runes. The 22 Major Arcana cards are rich in detail and symbolism.

Each Minor Arcana card has a keyword at the bottom (e.g., ‘Success’ for the 10 of cups). The Minor Arcana contains no representations of people at all, and in the Major Arcana, the people tend to take second place to animals and symbols. This deck is a stunning and real creation in itself, not a pale evolution of an existing deck.

The Haindl Tarot deck is rich with symbolism, emotion and mythology. A simple gesture, or an object, or a colour pattern will appear simple, but will actually convey a whole range of ideas. Contemplating a card, the reader can learn much, even without the aid of text. However as a person can appreciate nature without understanding its inner workings, a friendly guide can deepen and expand that appreciation by pointing out details that could be missed and by illuminating hidden aspects.
